18-TLVG-outside gymsOutside Gyms

Gym memberships in Tel Aviv can be pretty pricey. A good alternative is to use the outside gyms that can be found around the city area. With basic equipment located in beautiful areas, the outside gyms are a great way to maintain your fitness with cardio and weight workouts. If you’re also the type of person who likes to workout in the sun or outside where the air is fresh, this is the way to go. You can find many of these outside gyms in parks or along the beach; there is a large outside gym found at Gordon Beach. These outside gyms are free of charge and sometimes you will find people conducting classes on the equipment.

Running

At Hayarkon Park you can find a 5km running track that will take you through some of the amazing scenery that Hayarkon Park has to offer. The Tayelet is also a great place to run along, you can start from the port and run along the Tel Aviv coastline to Jaffa while you enjoy the fresh air and amazing atmosphere.

Sport Courts

If running or working out at an outside gym is not your thing, there are many basketball and football courts located around the city that you can take advantage of. Head to Gan Meir Park or the north side of Hayarkon Park to find basketball and football courts ( soccer ), where you can start your own game or join in a game with some new friends. If you prefer to play on the beach there are plenty of volleyball courts on the beach and you can always find a game of beach soccer along the sand.
